Mysore/Mysuru: Former MLC Marithibbegowda has urged the Department of Pre-University Education and the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) to set up II PU Science and Education subjects answer papers evaluation centres in all Revenue Divisions of the State.

In a press release, Marithibbegowda, who had also served as Deputy Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council, said that at present, Science subjects answer scripts are being evaluated only in Bengaluru centres and evaluation in respect of Commerce and Arts is being done at the District or Divisional-level.

“The evaluation of answer scripts of Science  subjects being done only in Bengaluru is creating  problems (mental, physical and economical) for lecturers and more so for women lecturers. It is hard to find boarding and lodging facilities at Bengaluru for 10 days. As such, the authorities must think about setting up evaluation centres for Science and Education subjects outside Bengaluru too,” the former MLC said in his press release.
