M.N. Sushma, a student of Government First Grade College, Siddarthanagar, has bagged gold medal in Discus Throw at the 92nd Mysore University Inter-Collegiate Competitions held at Oval Grounds in city on Dec. 8 and 9.

She has set a new meet record by throwing a distance of 41.55 mts breaking her own previous record of 39.40 mts set in the year 2019-20.

A first year BA student, Sushma is training under M.C. Mohan who has set a record in Shot-put at University of Mysore.

Sushma is the daughter of Nijaguna Shivayogi, a farmer and Meenakshi, a home-maker, who are residents of Muddanahalli in K.R. Nagar taluk.
