Shab-e-Baraath celebrated in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Muslim brethren celebrated Shab-e-Baraath by offering floral tributes to the graves of their near and dear ones and praying till late yesterday night in city.

After fasting the for the whole day yesterday, community people offered prayers at various mosques in city which were decorated with colourful lights and visited the burial grounds, where floral tributes were offered. Sir Khazi of Mysore Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Usman Shariff led the prayer at Umar Khan Mosque on B.N. Road at 9 pm. Narasimharaja (NR) Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait visited the burial grounds near Tipu Circle last night and paid floral tribute to the grave of his father late Azeez Sait.

Tahaffuz Khabarasthan Committee members Khurrath, Fiaz Pasha, Md. Mumtaz Ahmed, Suhail Baig, Sayeed and Fayaz Ahmed were present.

NR Police, led by Inspector Niranjan provided security.
