Shabby interior roads in layouts

August 7, 2026

Sir,

We are quite happy that the MCC has resumed footpath works and has also taken up the concretisation of some of the major roads in Mysuru.

However, I would like to bring to the notice of the authorities concerned, whether the Mysuru City Corporation, City Municipal Council or the Town Panchayat, that many of the interior roads in layouts across the city are in a very shabby condition and are not even properly tarred.

The layouts located off the Ring Road in Bogadi, such as Bank Employees Colony, Railway Layout, Bapuji Nagar and others, do not have good interior roads at all.

One or two main roads (for example, 4th Main in Bank Employees Colony), which have been used extensively by motorists for the last decade, have developed potholes and cracks, creating bumps that make commuting difficult.

I kindly request the authorities to inspect all such interior roads and take up tarring work at the earliest.
