SHABD-2024: 2-day Literary and Art Fest held

Mysore/Mysuru: The Editorial Board of the official Art and Literary Club of JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU), Mysuru, organised ‘SHABD-2024,’ 18th edition of Literary and Art Fest at JSS STU premises in city recently.

Renowned lyricist Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp in the presence of JSS STU Vice-Chancellor Dr. A.N. Santosh Kumar, In-charge Principal Dr. C. Nataraju and Dean (Engineering and Technology) and Dr. Vanishri Arun, Editorial Board Staff Co-ordinator and Associate Dean – Academic (Publications), JSS STU and student Editors-in-Chief Vadiraj B. Hayagreeva and                                Abhilash S. Hathwar.

Jayzine-2024, the University’s annual magazine, was unveiled by the guests on the occasion. The inaugural event was followed by an interactive session with Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, who enthusiastically engaged with the audience, answering  their questions.

Sudhanva Kulkarni and S. Charvi, members of Editorial Board, hosted the programme.

Participants, consisting of children to enthusiastic parents and grandparents and students from JSS STU and various other colleges, showcased  their talents.

Literary events included poetry, pictionary, creative writing, quiz, Jam, love letter writing and debate in both Kannada and English languages.

The Art events showcased a vibrant tapestry of creativity and expression including pencil sketching, photography, T-shirt designing, canvas swapping, rangoli and painting.

Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions during the valedictory ceremony.
