Sharadothsava Inter-College Literary and Cultural Fest held

Mysore/Mysuru: Sarada Vilas College celebrated Sharadothsava – 2K26, the Inter-College Literary and Cultural Fest at its Centenary Hall recently under the theme “Echoes of tradition, expressions of talent.”

Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Director of Noopura Kalavidara Samskrithika Trust, Mysuru, who was the chief guest, highlighted the importance of cultural values and literary activities in shaping students’ personalities.

S.L. Ramachandra, Governing Council Member, SVEI, was  the guest of honour. Dr. M. Devika, Principal of SVC, presided.

Pallavi and Vidyashree of II year BSc rendered the invocation. L.S. Soujanya of II year BCA welcomed. Mahendra of I year BSc introduced the chief guest. Kousalya of I year BCA proposed a vote of thanks. Sinchana of I year BCA compered.

The competitions included English Debate on the topic “Technology comforts the hand but isolates the heart,” Light music, Solo dance and Mehendi. Following are the prize winners:

Debate: L.S. Rashmi of JSS  and M.R. Varsha of SDM College bagged the first and second prize respectively.

Light music: Purushotham of Sarada Vilas College and Shashank of Government First Grade College, K.R. Nagar won the first and second prizes.

Mehendi: Pavithra of VKKFGC won the first prize and Sanjana of SDM college got the second prize.

Solo dance: Sinchana Deekshith of JSS College and Chandan of VKKSGC bagged first and second prize respectively.

The Overall Trophy was won by VVKSGC College.
