Mysore/Mysuru: Sharath Yoga Centre, a prominent Ashtanga Yoga institute in Mysuru has offered financial assistance to the century-old Mysore Pinjrapole Society, which has sheltered over 4,000 rescued cattle.
A programme was organised recently where internationally acclaimed Ashtanga Yoga Guru Sharath Jois handed over aid to Vinod, the Secretary of Mysore Pinjrapole Society. The financial support will be utilised to provide food and medicines to sheltered animals.
Addressing the gathering, Sharath Jois said that every year, his Yoga institute conducts various programmes that benefit the society and this year (2022), a decision was taken to help the animals of the Mysore Pinjrapole Society. He appreciated the contribution of the Yoga students who have come to Mysuru from all over the globe.
Along with Indian students, many foreign Yoga learners participated in the programme and appreciated the selfless work carried out by the Pinjrapole Society.
Senior students of the institute Rakesh Jain, Dr. Sowmya, Dinesh Jain, Pinjrapole Society PRO Surender, Sushil, Siddhartha and others were present.
