‘Shift laddu unit atop Chamundi Hill’

July 15, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: Kannadambe Rakshana Vedike has urged authorities to shift the laddu making unit atop Chamundi Hill to a different location as the existing location was unhygienic and congested.

Speaking to media persons, Vedike Founder State President B.B. Rajashekar said that about 20,000 to 30,000 laddus were being prepared. However, on seeing the kitchen people would refrain from receiving  the laddus as the place lacks cleanliness.

Besides being unhygienic, a pile of garbage is dumped beside the building and overflowing of sewage water is evident. The building is also in a dilapidated condition with workers not provided with any basic facilities, he said.

Rajashekar alleged that unhygienic environs would also have an adverse effect on the health of devotees who visit Chamundi Hill in large numbers.

“Officials should take immediate measures to shift the unit to a different location which is tidy and hygienic” demanded Rajashekar.

Vedike members Prathap, Mahadevaswamy, Santosh and others were present.
