Shivamma (65), wife of Congress leader Putta Basavegowda and a resident of Doddahundi village, Jayapura hobli, passed away at a private hospital in city yesterday.

She leaves behind her husband, two daughters, one son, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the family’s farm land in the village this afternoon.
