Short circuit in Air Conditioner destroys furniture at MCC Revenue Office

Mysuru: A fire caused by short circuit in the Air Conditioner, has destroyed furniture and other items at the MCC Revenue Office here yesterday afternoon.

A meeting of officials of the MCC Revenue Department was going on yesterday afternoon, when the fire was noticed in the Air Conditioner. The meeting was stopped in the middle and the officials rushed out of the office. The fire which soon spread destroyed the furniture, computer, printer and other items in the office.

Following the incident, the power to the MCC was disrupted and the Council Meeting was held with the power supplied through a generator, said Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath to SOM.
