The Karnataka State Unorganised Workers Social Security Board has invited entries from achievers from the unorganised labour sector for conferment of Shrama Samman Award. Unorganised workers such as coolies, tailors, rag  pickers, construction workers, mechanics, laundrymen, Transport workers, domestic workers, gold smith, bar-benders, pottery makers, hair dressers, rice mill workers etc., can apply. The prescribed application form can be obtained from the Labour Department Office in all taluks and the filled-in application form must be returned along with all supporting documents, before Feb.15.
