Sisters of SJT celebrate 175th Foundation Day

Mysuru:  The Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes (SJT) of Mysuru province celebrated the 175th Foundation Day of their Congregation on Sept.22 at Provincial house ‘Stuti Ramya,’ St. Joseph’s Convent, Nilgiri Road, in city. The Congregation of the Sister of SJT, which was founded in the year 1843 at Cantaous in the Diocese of Tarbes in France. The year 2018 being the 175th year of the foundation, celebrations were held all over the Congregation worldwide.

Thanksgiving Holy Mass was officiated by Rt. Rev. Dr. K.A. William, the Bishop of Mysuru, Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Vazhapilly, Bishop Emeritus, Mysuru and many other Priests. Bishop K.A. William also blessed the newly-constructed Home for the Senior Citizens on the occasion.
