Mysuru: A musical night titled ‘Sitaron Ki Mehfil’ was organised by Sahil Melodies at Jaganmohan Palace Auditorium in city recently. Sudhakar Shanbagh from Goa presented some popular songs sung by late singer Kishore Kumar;  Dilip from Kolkata, who was looking like Super Star Amitabh Bachchan, presented some popular dance from Don, Mr. Natwarlal, Pukar and Sharabi.

An artiste and dancer from Mumbai, Neha danced to Choli ke peeche kya hai… from Khalnayak, Pukar and Mr. Natwarlal with Dilip (Junior Amitabh Bachchan) and Mujhe naulakha manga de re o saiya deewane… from Sharabi (starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada).

Likewise, Sanam Leher from Bengaluru enthralled with melodious songs while city artistes Asma, Atha Ulla, Tahir and Shahid presented songs of yesteryears.

Bakash of city rendered Qawwali from the film Amar Akbar Anthony —  Parda hai pardah… sung by late Mohamed Rafi.

Sudhakar Shanbagh and Sanam Leher sang  Jao tum chahe Jahan… from Narasimha. Atha Ulla sang Ashwamedha… Kannada song by Dr. Rajkumar and Tahir sang Bombe helutaithe… from the movie Rajkumara of late Superstar Punith Rajkumar. Atha Ulla and Asma sang Inteha ho gayi intezaar ki — very beautifully with a dance — from Sharabi.

On the occasion, Mysuru City (District) Congress Committee President R. Murthy was felicitated by Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) Chairman Ayub Khan with a garland and Mysore Peta.

Former Corporator Suhail Baig, Azeez Sait Block Congress Committee President Syed Iqbal, Congress leader Rasool and others were present.
