Mysuru: Former Minister Prof. B. K. Chandarashekar  inaugurated the 102nd birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji at JSS Technical Institutions, JSS TI campus, Mysuru, recently.

Speaking on the occasion,  he remembered various great works done by the JSS Mahavidyapeetha and the present pontiff Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji to make this world a better place. He expressed his concern saying that sharing knowledge and having frequent discussions are of prime importance for the development of  the country.

B.Prasanna, Senior Vice-President of Mercedes Benz and a distinguished alumnus of SJCE, 1993 batch, who was the guest of hounour, cherished his memories of his days in the institute. He reflected upon various programmes he has taken up in order to promote women empowerment in the manufacturing industry.

Prof. C. Ranganathaiah, Director, Academic & Administration, Prof. K.S. Lokesh, Registrar of JSS S&TU, Prof. T. N. Nagabhushana, Principal, SJCE were present on the occasion.

As part of the programme, the meritorious students from several JSS institutions were felicitated by presenting Endowment Cash awards donated by various donors. A blood donation camp was also organised to mark this occasion, where a large number of people donated blood.

Sri Siddalinga Mahaswamiji of Sri Siddaganga Mutt, Tumakuru, graced the occasion. Prof. B.G. Sangameshwara, VC, JSS S&T University, presided.
