March 28, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: A day after the woman allegedly figuring in the sleaze CD case involving former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi reportedly disclosed the name (KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar) of the ‘Mahanayaka’ involved in the scandal in a video statement made on Friday, District Minister S.T. Somashekar, without directly mentioning the name of D.K. Shivakumar, said that the disclosure of the name did not come as any surprise, as he had all through suspected the involvement of the  opposition camp.

Speaking to press persons yesterday on the sidelines of University  Sports Pavilion, where he inaugurated the Masters  Tournament, Somashekar said that his suspicions have come true with the woman allegedly figuring in the CD case, herself  voluntarily disclosing the name of the ‘Mahanayaka.’

Pointing out that the SIT (Special Investigating Team) is seriously probing the CD case which has rocked the State, Somashekar said that the SIT will unearth everything that is factual about the case. The SIT will also unearth who are all behind the CD case, including the ‘Director’, ‘Producer’ and ‘Location’, he said. Noting that former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has said that the CD is a fake one, he said that even the woman figuring in the case has said that the CD is a graphical creation.

Referring to the woman’s video statement that there is a life threat to her parents, Somshekar said that, if so, the Police will provide security.

Maintaining that the woman and her parents must physically appear before the SIT and record statements, the Minister reiterated that the SIT will come out with all the truth after completing the investigation.
