Sleeping man bludgeoned to death at Gandhinagar

Mysore/Mysuru: A 35-year-old man has been bludgeoned to death on May 12 night at Gandhinagar in city.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh. A native of Doddenahalli village in T.Narasipur taluk, Suresh was staying alone at Gandhinagar as he was orphaned and was consuming food given by the public.

Suresh was found murdered by miscreants when he was sleeping on the footpath opposite to a park. Miscreants had used a boulder to smash his head.

N.R. Inspector Shekar and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the deceased’s relatives.

N.R. Police, who have registered a case of murder, are investigating.
