Slum-dwellers seek houses

October 20, 2019

Mysuru:  Members of Karnataka Rajya Pragathipara Chintakara Vedike staged a protest in front of Ambedkar Statue in Town Hall premises here yesterday urging the government to sanction houses for the slum-dwellers of city and provide basic amenities to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) houses in Ramakrishnanagar H-Block.

The members pointed out that drinking water, power supply and other amenities were not provided to the EWS houses.

Vedike President K.C. Puttasidda Shetty sought sanction letters for beneficiaries of houses. He pointed out that introducing public examination for 7th standard would hit the rural students badly.
