Snail farming training

School of Life Sciences, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, in collaboration with ICAR-JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) and Auric Cosmo India Private Limited (Snail It), is organising a one-day Heliciculture (Snail Farming) Training Programme at JSS AHER in Bannimantap on Aug. 11 from 10 am to 3 pm. 

The programme aims to introduce farmers, rural entrepreneurs, self-help groups, students and aspiring agripreneurs to the emerging opportunities in scientific snail farming, snail mucin-based cosmetic & therapeutic products and entrepreneurship development.  

The event will feature expert sessions, practical demonstrations, market linkage opportunities and discussions on sustainable livelihood generation through heliciculture. 

Dr. B.N. Gnanesh, Head & Senior Scientist, ICAR-JSS KVK, Suttur, will be the chief guest. Dr. K.A. Raveesha, Dean, School of Life Sciences, will be the guest of honour. Dr. B. Manjunatha, Registrar, JSS AHER, will preside. Dr. Asha Srinivasan and S. Vikram Singh are the Organising Secretaries.
