Mysore/Mysuru: As a safety measure, City Police had deployed a snake rescuer in case of emergency during the procession at Mysore Palace premises.

The Police had deployed Snake Prakash of Kumbarakoppal for snake rescuing duty. Prakash said that the City Police deploys him to rescue snakes every year during Jumboo Savari. “I rescued a snake at Dr. Vishnuvardhan Park, in front of the Palace in the morning. The Police inform me when they spot a snake and I rush to the spot and rescue the reptile,” he added.
