Sodium bomb case: ‘Drone’ Prathap sent to 10-day Judicial Custody

Tumakuru: Bigg Boss contestant N.M. Prathap, popular as ‘Drone’ Prathap, who courted controversy again after exploding a sodium bomb in a farm pond, in the name of Science experiment and was arrested by Midigeshi Police, has been remanded to 10-day Judicial Custody till Dec. 26.

Prathap had exploded a sodium bomb in an irrigation pond of a farm at Janakaloti in Madhugiri taluk in the district and had uploaded the video on YouTube, to garner views. He was arrested from his house in Kothur, Bengaluru on Thursday last. He was produced before the Court on Friday and had been remanded to 3-day Police custody. Midigeshi Police have booked him under Section 288 of BNS and 158 of Cr.PC and the Explosive Substances Act for conducting an explosion without obtaining permission.
