July 27, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants, who gained entry into a Software Engineer’s house at Belavatta, have decamped with gold ornaments and silver articles from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of 33-year-old K.P. Devaraj, a Software Engineer at a private company in Metagalli here.

Devaraj’s wife, who was pregnant, left to her parents’ house on July 12 and Devaraj had accompanied her. Before leaving, Devaraj had given the house keys to Suraj, who was living on the first floor of Devaraj’s house, asking him to feed the fishes in the aquarium.

On July 22, Suraj, who fed the fishes, left for Bengaluru and on July 25, when Devaraj returned, he found the door forcibly opened and on inspecting the house, he found 55 grams gold ornaments and 60 grams silver articles, which were kept in the wardrobe stolen. A case has been registered at N.R. Police Station.
