Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have stolen a bag containing a laptop and an iPhone of a woman software engineer, who had travelled in a KSRTC Airavat Bus from Ooty to Mysuru.

The woman, who lost her laptop and iPhone is 28-year-old S. Divya, a native of Bhattarahalli, K.R. Puram in Bengaluru and working as a software engineer at a Bank in Germany.

Divya, who came to Bengaluru from Germany on June 14 had brought the laptop given by the Bank to work from home. On the same day, she along with her husband Naveen Ravikumar went on a tour to Ooty. On July 16, after having their lunch, they boarded the KSRTC Airavat Bus (KA-01-F-1097) at Ooty Bus Stand and kept the bag containing the laptop and iPhone in the luggage carrier.

When the bus reached Mysuru Bus Stand at about 8.45 pm, they saw the bag in the luggage carrier. A few passengers got down from the bus and a few boarded again. When the bus was about to depart the Bus Stand at about 9 pm, they saw the laptop and the iPhone bag missing.

They immediately contacted the driver and conductor of the bus, took the mobile phone numbers of those who had alighted from the bus, contacted them and asked whether they had the bag with a laptop and iPhone, to which the passengers denied seeing it. But another passenger told them that a person, who was sitting on the front seat, had taken the bag.

Divya, who said that the laptop and the iPhone was worth Rs. 3 lakh has lodged a complaint with Lashkar Police.
