Mysuru: A three-day solo contemporary art exhibition by Padma Shri Prof. J.A.K. Tareen is being held from today till Dec. 10 at Suchitra Art Gallery in Kalamandira premises here.

Prof. Tareen, who has worked as Vice-Chancellors to three Universities, has to his credit many prestigious awards including the Padma Shri for his contribution to the field of education.

Apart from being an educationist, Prof. Tareen has passion for art which he has been exploring post-retirement. He has created over 100 original and unique expressions on large canvas with acrylic media. His paintings are displayed at his home gallery located in Gangothri Layout and is open for public.

The art exhibition will commence at 4 pm today and for the next two days, the expo will be open from 10 am to 8 pm.
