Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi to join Bharat Jodo Yatra in State: KPCC Chief

Mysore/Mysuru:  KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar said that Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi and top leader Priyanka Gandhi will join Rahul Gandhi’s Kanyakumari to Kashmir Bharat Jodo Yatra when it passes through Karnataka.

Speaking to press persons here yesterday, D.K. Shivakumar said that the Bharat Jodo Rally which set-off from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on Sept. 7, will enter Karnataka from Kerala  through Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district on Sept. 30.

Pointing out that the exact date on which Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will join the rally in the State is yet to be finalised, he said that AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal and the party State in-Charge Randeep Surjewala are reviewing the preparations for the rally.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, after covering several districts of the State, is scheduled to conclude the Karnataka leg with a massive rally at Ballari on Oct. 19, he added.
