Mysuru: Karnataka State Souharda Federal Co-operative Limited (KSSFCL), Mysuru Regional Office, had organised a training programme at a private hotel in city this morning.
About 50 CEOs and representatives of Souharda Co-operative Societies participated in the programme who were briefed on management of finance, documentation and planned deposit mobilisation.
Inaugurating the programme, Co-operative Societies Audit Department Deputy Director E.C. Janardhan asked the Souharda Co-operative Societies to manage funds judiciously without extravagant expenditure.
He asked such Societies to help the genuine and needy by advancing loans cautiously with thorough examination of credentials of the applicant for loan. He asked the Societies to submit audit reports on time.
Briefing the participants, Auditor B.N. Chandrashekar advised the Souharda Co-operative Societies to strictly abide by the laws stipulated under the Act.
He observed that with the advent of a new breed of Small Finance Banks, competition has increased phenomenally in the Co-operative sector.
KSSFCL Regional Officer Narayana Hegde delivered the keynote address. Legal Manager Shivakumar Biradar, Srikrishna Souharda Co-operative Society President Narayana Rao, KSSFCL District Convenor R.S. Suresh and others were present during the training.
