Special Education Course

The De-partment for Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens, Government of Karnataka, is running D.Ed.Spl.Edu (HI) & D.Ed.Spl.Edu(VI) — two  years Special Education Course at Tilak Nagar, Mysuru. Special Education D.Ed programmes are equalised to General D.Ed candidates who have completed 2nd PUC or 10+2 for general category with 50% marks & SC, ST, Physically disabled persons must have scored 45% of marks and are not supposed to pay tuition fees.

Course names: 1. D.Ed.Spl.Edu(HI): D.Ed Special Education – Hearing Handicapped; 2. D.Ed.Spl.Edu(VI): D.Ed Special Education – Visual Handicapped. Placement areas: • Completed course person can work as Special Teacher in Government- grant-in-aid Schools which runs under Department for Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens; • Can work as Teacher/ Recourse Teacher in Normal School also; • Can work as Special Teacher in CBSC schools; • Can work as Resource Persons and Instructor in District Hospitals; • Can work as Resource Teacher in Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana.
