Special Helpline Centre for Senior Citizens

In order to address the problems of the elders in the context of the pandemic/ COVID third wave, the Department of Women and Child Development and Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens has jointly launched a Special Helpline Centre. The elderlies may call toll free senior citizens national helpline “Elderline-14567” and make use of the facility.

Senior citizens can seek information about COVID, Hospital/ Geriatric Hospital facilities, old-age homes, a Divisional level Tribunal Court at the Assistant Commissioner’s Office and Appellate Authority in the DC Office, under various Schemes for Senior Citizens, according to a press release from the Mysuru District Disabled Welfare Officer.
