Special screening of ‘Uri’ for cadets

February 20, 2019

Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha had arranged a special screening of the Hindi movie Uri: The Surgical Strike at DRC Cinemas in Jayalakshmipuram for NCC cadets this morning. Over 425 NCC cadets from Army, Navy and Air Force wings watched the movie.

According to C.R. Hanumanth of the DRC Cinemas, such shows are being organised for the benefit of students where, in coordination with cinema distributors and voluntary organisations, the ticket prices are slashed so that the movie is watched by children to develop patriotism. So far, more than 9,000 students have watched the movie at DRC.
