The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) will be conducting special selection trials for students, who could not attend the District-level, Divisional-level and State-level selection process held earlier for admission to 8th std. and I PUC (2026-27) in Sports Schools and Hostels run by the Department.

The selection process in Volleyball, Cycling, Wrestling and Judo events will be held at 9 am on June 1 at Belagavi District Sports Stadium; the selection in Athletics, Kabaddi, Gymnastics and Football events will be held at Mahatma Gandhi District Sports Stadium in Tumakuru; Basketball, Boxing, Archery and Fencing events will be held at Bengaluru’s Sri Kanteerava Stadium and the selection process in Hockey event will be held at Akkithimmanahalli Hockey Stadium in Bengaluru. The students should be aged under 14 years (as on June 2026) for admission to 8th standard and under 18 years (as on June 2026) for admission to I PUC in Sports Schools and Hostels.
