‘Spectra’ Students of the Year

Mysuru: Spectra Student of the Year 2019, a Cultural and Management Fest was organised by Hindustan First Grade College (HFGC) at the College campus in J.P. Nagar recently.

The students from various Colleges from Bengaluru and Mysuru participated in the Fest and actively participated in various competitions which was part of the event. The students had to compete in four different rounds which comprised of Strategy, Business, Cultural (Dance, Street Play) and Physical (Swimming, Cycling and Sprints).

Dr. Mahadevan, Registrar, University of Mysore (UoM), was the chief guest for the valedictory session. Issac Samala Gerard, Chief HR Officer, Hindustan Group of Institutions, Chennai, was the guest of honour. The two new special programmes to be offered by Hindustan College from the Year 2019 — B.Sc (Fashion Designing) and BBA (Aviation Management) — were launched during the valedictory.

Mohith, a student from Sapient College won the title of ‘Spectra Student of The Year 2019.’ He was awarded with iPad.

The students of Sapient College were adjudged ‘Overall Champions’ and the team of Amrita College were the runner-up of the event. The winners and runners of the event were awarded with cash prize, mementos and trophy.

Mohammed Shakeel and Namratha of II B.Com hosted the valedictory. R. Ramya, Assistant Professor of Management, welcomed the gathering.

H. Chethan, Vice-Principal, HFGC, proposed a vote of thanks.

Earlier, UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar inaugurated the ‘Spectra Student of the Year 2019.’ Dr. V.J. Philip, Deputy Director, Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Chennai, was the guest of honour during the inaugural.

Eshwar, Assistant Professor of Commerce, welcomed the gathering. Ramya and Nayan Hashmi, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Management, introduced the guests. Savitha, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, proposed a vote of thanks. Sowmyashree and Rini of III B.Com rendered prayer song. Sneha and Tejus were the Masters of the Ceremony.
