Speeding youth rams bike into compound

Dies after iron grill pierces his neck

Mysuru/Mysore: A 20-year-old youth, who was allegedly riding his bike rashly, rammed into a compound and died after an iron spear installed to the grill of the compound pierced his neck on Monday.

The deceased is Rakesh, a resident of Vijayashreepura in city.

On Monday night, Rakesh was proceeding on his bike from Vijayanagar Water Tank side to Vijayashreepura, when he lost control of the bike and rammed into the compound of a house near the MUDA Commercial Complex on Kalidasa Road.

A case has been registered at V.V. Puram Traffic Police Station, said Inspector Aruna Kumari.
