Mysore/Mysuru: ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru, had recently organised a spiritual talk on ‘Human Values’ for the second semester students by Swami Veereshananda Saraswathiji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Tumakuru.
Calling upon the students to adopt morality, humanity and ethics in their life, Veereshananda Saraswathiji said that experience is the best education for life and it makes man perfect.
He emphasised that one’s success and failure is determined by one’s own character. Victory achieved by immoral means is worse than being defeated in a righteous cause. He further pointed out the need for a good attitude in life that will help build a good career. “Maintaining physical and mental health is very important to face the hardships in life, but equally important is to try and understand life in different perspectives,” said the monk.
ATME College Principal Dr. L. Basavaraj presided. Event Co-ordinator Dr. S.R. Bhagyashree, Basic Science Department HoD Dr. Mohammed Elias, Dr. Mahesh K.S. Lohith, Sudhakar and staff were present.
