Sports and cultural contests for tribals

Mysuru: The District Administration, in association with ZP, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports and ST Welfare Department, will be conducting sports and cultural contests for forest-based tribal communities (Jenu Kuruba, Soliga, Yerava, Kadu Kuruba, Dongri, Gerasia, Betta Kuruba) of the district at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad, in the second week of March.

The sports contests for both boys and girls will be held under two categories — Under-14 years and 14-18 years.

The cultural contests include Folk songs, Folk dance and other cultural events. The interested boys and girls from eligible tribal communities can register before Mar. 10.
