Mysuru: Ati Rudra Mahayaga is being performed by Avadhoota Datta Peetham Seer Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Temple in Srisaila, Andhra Pradesh. The 11-day Yaga that began on Jan. 17 in the divine presence of Srisaila Jagadguru Channa Siddharama Panditaradhya Mahaswamiji at the Panditharadhya Bhavanam (Telugu University) premises in Srisaila will end on Jan. 27.
On the fifth-day (Jan. 21) of the Yaga, which was on Mouni Amavasya, Sri Ganapathy Swamiji gave Purnahuthi to Yaga following which he gave Ashirvachana to devotees at the Guru Vandana programme held later.
After the Sahasra Chandramana Darshana, Sri Ganapathy Swamiji is performing Ati Rudra Yaga at Andhra Pradesh for the first time, where he had got his ‘Guru Deekshe.’ He had also performed the Yaga at Varanasi. However, Sri Swamiji has initiated Ati Rudra Mahayaga for four times so far out of which two times he had performed at Avadhoota Datta Peetham in Mysuru, which is his favourite place. Devotees from across the country including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu participated in the Yaga.
Sri Ganapathy Swamiji will be giving ‘pravachana’ (discourse) on all the days of the Mahayaga and on Jan. 27, he will deliver a discourse of ‘Vedavyasa in Skanda Purana.’
