Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the 84th birthday celebrations of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, 27th Brahmotsava of Sri Datta Venkateshwara Kshetra and 28th Anniversary of Nada Mantapa, the following events have been organised by Avadhoota Datta Peetham at Sri Ganapathy Ashram in Datta Nagar, Mysuru, from May 24 to 31:

May 24: 5 pm – Shesha Vahana Utsava at Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple; 6 pm – Inauguration of 84th birthday celebrations and 27th Brahmotsava by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji in the presence of Sri Ganapathy Swamiji and Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji.

May 25: 5 pm – Simha Vahana Utsava at Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple; 7 pm – Inauguration of 28th Anniversary Festivities of Nada Mantapa. Hindustani Flute Concert by Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia, accompanied by Pt. Anindo Chatterjee on tabla.

May 26: 84th birthday of Sri Swamiji; 10 am – SGS Vidyanidhi Academy & Masters’ Institute Events & Inauguration of Sanskrit Education Services; 5 pm – Hanuman Vahana Utsava at Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple; 7 pm – Cultural Programme.

May 27: 10 am – Pratyaksha Pada Puja to Sri Swamiji; 11 am – Conferring of Datta Peetham Titles on V. Jambunatha Ganapathi (Veda Nidhi), Kuppa Vishwanatha Sharma (Shastra Nidhi), Vid. Suresh Vaidyanathan (Nada Nidhi), Samavedam Shanmukha Sharma (Pravachana Chakravarti), Ravinder Pandita (Dharma Bandhu) and Anupama Vedachala (Sasya Bandhu); 5 pm – Garuda Vahana Utsava at Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple; 7 pm – Annamayya Keerthana Nrithyanjali, Concept, Production and Direction by Ranjitha Vivin, Director of Nrityaranjini School of Bharatanatyam.

May 28: 5 pm – Dolotsava at Venkateshwara Temple; 7 pm – Teppotsava in Saptarshi Sarovara.

May 29: 7 pm – Hindustani Duet by Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena) & Pt. Salil Vishwa Bhatt (Satvik Veena), accompanied by Pt. Himanshu Mahant on tabla.

May 30: 10 am – Distribution of Charities to differently abled persons; 5 pm – Rudraksha Ratha Utsava at Datta Venkateshwara Temple; 7 pm – Hindustani Vocal by Pt. Sanjeev Abhayankar.

May 31: 6 pm – Veena & Violin Ensemble by Vid. Kumaresh Rajagopalan and Jayanthi Kumaresh.
