Mysore/Mysuru: Vangipura Mutt Seer Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji has demanded the Government to provide adequate security to Seers and Monks in the wake of murder of Jain Seer Kamakumara Nandi Maharaj in Belagavi district.

Speaking during a condolence meeting organised by Apoorva Sneha Balaga at Jain Brahmin Student Hostel in city yesterday, Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji said: “Jain Seers have been practicing non-violence but the recent incident of murder has shocked the society. The murderers should be awarded harsher punishment to check recurrence of such incidents.”

Corporator M.V. Ramprasad, Apoorva Suresh, Jain Brahim Student Hostel Secretary Shamanand Sagar and several others attended the meeting.
