Sri Krishna Jayanti celebrations on Sept.2

Mysuru: The District Administration, Kannada and Culture Department and Sri Krishna Jayanti Celebration Committee have jointly organised Sri Krishna Jayanti celebrations on Sept.2 in city.

Addressing a meeting at the DC’s office here on Saturday, Additional DC T. Yogesh said that the programme will be held at Kalamandira in a meaningful manner.

Pointing out that the programme will be organised taking into consideration the model Code of Conduct in force for the Urban Local Body (ULB) polls, he said that, a fancy dress competition for children focusing on Lord Krishna along with other cultural programmes will be organised to mark the occasion.

He appealed the citizens to attend the programme in large numbers and make it successful.

Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Channappa, MUDA Secretary M.K. Savitha, Kannada Activist Thayur Vittalamurthy, Ravishankar and M.B. Vishwanath, District Yadava Association members Jagadish, Sathya and others were present.
