Mysuru: Sri Purandaradasa and Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana and the 38th Annual Day of the Sabha will be observed by Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, tomorrow (Feb. 9) at Sri Prasanna Parvathi Kalyana Mantapa, V.V. Mohalla, Mysuru.

The celebration will start at 7.30 am with the traditional ooncha vruthi. The procession of the pictures of Purandaradasa and Thyagaraja on decorated chariot will pass on the streets of V.V. Mohalla with musicians singing and playing the instruments.

The 38th Annual Day of the Sabha will be held at 10 am. Senior and eminent musicians, Vid. R.A. Ramamani, Pt. Veerabhadraiah Hiremath, Vid. Venugopala Shanubogue, Vid. C.P. Vyasa Vithala, and senior music patron, B.S. Sridhara Raj Urs, will be felicitated on this occasion.

Dr. P. Mohandas Bhat, President of the Sabha, will preside over the event. Dr. K.V. Lakshmi Devi, Sri Ramakrishna Specialty Hospital, Mysuru and K.S. Devaprakash, Entrepreneur, will be the chief guests.

The Aradhana will culminate with Goshti Gayana of Thyagaraja’s Pancharatna Kritis at 12 noon by all the senior musicians and music students of the city, followed by prasada.
