Sri Ramaseva Mandali Charitable Trust to host 30th Sri Ramanavami festivities from Apr. 10

Sri Ramaseva Mandali Charitable Trust, Mysore North, is stepping to its fourth decade of service to cultural field. The Mandali has organised its 30th Ramanavami festivities this year at Sri Prasanna Parvathi Kalyana Mantapa, adjacent to Sri Chandramouleeshwara Swamy Temple, V.V. Mohalla, Mysuru, from Apr. 10 to 19.

Daily in the mornings from  8 am, there will be Abhishekam, Ashtottara, Navagraha Japa and Sri Ramayana Parayana till 11 am concluding with arathi.

On Apr. 14, Sri Rama Taraka Homa will be performed by Sri Chandramouleeshwara Swamy Temple specially to celebrate the installation of Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya.

On Apr. 19, religious activities concludes with Sri Rama Pattabhisheka.

To encourage the young artistes, a separate slot is earmarked for them daily between 5.15 pm – 6.15 pm starting from Apr. 11. The participating artistes are as folllows: H.M. Lakshmi – vocal, N.S. Subhashini – vocal, Vishvambar Bhat – vocal, Prajna & Shreya – vocal duet, Prithvi Bhaskar – vocal, Amogh Nadadur – violin solo, Niranjani Bhargav – vocal, Sushma Deepak – vocal and V. Akshata Bhat – vocal on Apr. 19.

The major programme  starts daily from 6.15 pm as detailed below:

Apr. 10: Swami Adityanandaji, Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission, Mandya, will give a discourse in Kannada on ‘Vasanta Navaratri’ bringing out the significance and meaning of festivals. The programme is sponsored by C.K. Sabareeshan and Mahesh Chittoor in memory of parents Shakuntala and C.R. Kalyana Raman.

Apr. 11: Vocal Duet by M.B. Hariharan & S. Ashok, popularly known as Bangalore Brothers. They will be accompanied by Dr. K.T. Udaya Kiran on violin, Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma on mridanga and Sunaad Anoor on kanjira. Programme is sponsored by Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru.

Apr. 12: Dr. Vrinda Acharya will give a vocal concert. Aditi Krishnaprakash on violin, Arjun Kumar on mridanga, S. Manjunath on ghata are the accompanists. The programme is being sponsored by Mahajana Education Society & Dr. Vijayalakshmi Bhagavat in memory of her brother R.V. Ganesh.

Apr. 13: S. Saketharaman will enthral the audience with his vocal concert. He will be accompanied by Dr. Nishanth Chandran on violin, Arjun Kumar on mridanga and G.S. Ramanujan on ghata. The programme is sponsored by Pragati Glyoxal (P) Ltd. and Hindustan Food & Beverages.

Apr. 14: Sensational Rahul R. Vellal sings along with Vaibhav Ramani on violin, Nagendra Prasad on mridanga and S. Manjunath on ghata. The programme is sponsored by late K.V. Murthy and his daughter Dr. Pratibha Pereira.

Apr. 15: Vocal concert by Gayathri Venkataraghavan, a leading vocalist from the country, for Gowri & K. Seetha Rama Rao Memorial Concert sponsored by K.S.N. Prasad & Sudha & Ramaprasad. Mysore V. Srikanth on violin, B.C. Manjunath on mridanga and G.S. Ramanujan on ghata will provide the instrumental support to the concert.

Apr. 16: Hindustani vocal by Sanjana Kaushik. Pt. Bhimashankar Bidanur on tabla and Pt. Veerabhadraiah Hiremath on harmonium will give saath to the concert. The programme is sponsored by Sudha and T.R. Harish in memory of Saroja and H.S. Venkat Rao and by Sri Chandramouleeshwara Swamy Temple, V.V. Mohalla.

Apr. 17: Vocal concert by M.R. Sudha, sponsored by Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru. Kritik Kaushik on violin, A. Radhesh on mridanga and V.S. Ramesh on morching are the accompanists.

Apr. 18: Sampagodu Vighnaraja sings to the accompaniment of Vaibhav Ramani on violin and H.S. Sudhindra on mridanga. The programme is sponsored by K. Srikantaiah, Founder of  T. Chowdiah Smaraka Ramaseva Samithi and SPVGMC Trust.

Apr. 19: Honouring Vid. D. Balakrishna with the title ‘Sangeetha Kalaradhaka.’ This will be followed by a Trio Concert of Veena, Venu and Violin by D. Balakrishna, T.R. Srinath and Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth. Dr. Jagannath Shenoy is sponsoring D. Ramabai Memorial Concert on the final day of the series.
