Teacher cheers Forest Officer’s success

April 6, 2024

Sir,

I was elated to read the report titled ‘Mysuru’s Women Forest Officers Lead the Way’ in Star of Mysore dated Apr. 3. As I viewed the images of three Range Forest Officers (RFOs), my joy soared upon recognising one of my former students among them.

M.R. Rashmi, the Range Forest Officer of K.R Nagar, was a student of mine at Maharani’s Teacher Training Institute, Mysuru. During my tenure as a Teacher-Educator at the Institute in 2007, Rashmi pursued her D.Ed. She was an invaluable asset to our college.

A diligent student, Rashmi consistently excelled in extracurricular activities. I vividly recall her prowess in debates; her eloquence was truly remarkable.

During a conversation, Rashmi shared her dream of joining the Forest Department. I was thrilled by her determination and offered my heartfelt wishes.

Witnessing her success as a Range Forest Officer after nearly 17 years fills me with immense pride. What more could a teacher desire?

I am confident that individuals like Rashmi, driven by clear objectives, will conscientiously discharge their duties and bring honour to the Department. A paragon of diligence and dedication, Rashmi serves as an inspiration for aspiring students to pursue their dreams with unwavering commitment.
