A well-compiled 168 (21×4, 5×6) by Mysuru lad Vishnu Priyan helped Mofussil XI to gain the vital first innings lead over Bangalore City XI in the two-day drawn encounter played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on July 5 and 6.

Mofussil XI: 283 in 88.2 overs (Vishnu Priyan 168, S.J. Nikin Jose 51, Rishi Boppanna 4 for 37, Anirudh Srinivas 3 for 56) and 57 for 2 in 15 overs (Vishnu Priyan 25 n.o., S.Y. Swapnil 31 n.o.) drew with Bangalore City XI: 235 in 59.4 overs (Pranav Bhatia 87, C.R. Aiyappa 59, Desmond Anthony 29, Vidwath 6 for 39, Nischith N. Rao 2 for 37).

Combined City XI: 292 in 85.5 overs (Abheet Kuthupady 114, S.S. Sujay 36, B. Ruturaj 33, Likit Bannur 53 n.o., Uttam Aiyappa 2 for 37, Madan Mohan 3 for 70) drew with Combined Mofussil XI: 101 for 4 in 30 overs (no result).
