Sri S. Ramanathan Memorial Debate Contest: St. Joseph’s Central School, BVB bag Rolling Trophy

 Mysuru: S. Ramanathan Memorial Inter-High School English and Kannada Debate Competition, organised as part of Founder’s Day, were held at  Sri Sharada Public School here recently.

Prof K.C. Belliappa, former Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh, was the chief guest  and Rtn. PHF C.S. Ravishankar, President, Rotary Club of Mysore West, who was the guest of honour, inaugurated the English Debate competition. B.V. Manjunath, Secretary of SMS College, Bettadapura, inaugurated the Kannada debate competition.

The winners of the English Debate competition are as follows:

1st place: Vidisha Ponnappa of St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar and cash prize of Rs.5,000 for the institution.

2nd:  Amulya R. Bhat of Amrita Vidyalayam and cash prize of Rs.3000 for the institution.

3rd: R. Sanaatan of Acharya Vidyakula and cash prize of Rs.2,000 for the institution.

English Debate Rolling Trophy was bagged by St.Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar.

Winners of Kannada debate contest are seen with the guests.

The winners of the Kannada Debate competition are as follows:

1st place: V.S. Roshni of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and cash prize of Rs.5,000 for the institution.

2nd: K. Prakruthi of Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala and cash prize of Rs.3,000 for the institution.

3rd: S. Latha of Sri Sharada Public School and cash prize of Rs.2,000 for the institution.

Kannada Debate Competition Rolling Trophy was bagged by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

R. Manjunath Srivatsa, Secretary of Sri Sharada Public School, Kusuma Ramanathan, Treasurer, Shwetha Srivatsa, Trustee, M. Gururaja, Administrator, K.P. Seema Principal, staff and students were present on the occasion.
