Sri Shankaracharya Rath Yatra taken out

Mysuru: Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya ‘Rath Yatra,’ organised by Vipra Jagruti Vedike at Sri Avani  Shankar Mutt, Vidyaranyapuram, was held in city yesterday.

The ‘Rath Yatra,’ started from Sri Avani Shankar Mutt and passed through 3rd and 4th main road of Vidyaranyapuram, Chamundipuram Circle and culminated at Avani Shankar Mutt.  Nadaswara, Mahila Bhajana Mandali and Dollu Kunita troupes accompanied the Rath Yatra.

MLA S.A. Ramdas flagged off the Rath Yatra by showering  flowers.

Social worker Dr. Raghuram Vajpayee, Vipra community leader N. Srikantakumar, Vipra Jagruti Forum President J. Ramesh, Vice-President R. Nagaraj, Secretary Mullur Suresh and others were present.
