February 26, 2018

Sridevi being a celebrity, the forensic reports are not being rushed and the officials are taking utmost care. The body is expected to reach Mumbai at about 4 pm or 5 pm today. The exact time for the funeral is unknown and it depends on the arrival  of the body.

Dubai: Reports claim that veteran actor Sridevi’s body will be released mostly by late this evening as the Dubai Police and officials are still awaiting the final forensic report on her death.

The UAE Government will follow all the norms in the system and will not be moved with either pressure or emotions. Until the viscera is examined, post-mortem done, autopsy completed, and reports correlated with standard Police investigation, the body will not be released.

The Forensics Department is yet to submit the blood test results to Dubai Police, reports Khaleej Times. It is expected that the reports will be submitted at about 2 pm (IST).

The body will be embalmed and later flown to Mumbai once the Dubai Police complete the formalities. The reports suggest that all the proceedings with regard to the release of the body are well within the rules and regulations of the UAE Government.

As per the official portal of the UAE government, if a death occurs outside a hospital, the UAE Police needs to be informed first and they will investigate the cause of the death with the aid of forensic reports. Then the authorities will fill out a death report and move it to a morgue.

After the death certificate is procured, the documents have to be submitted to UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation attests the death certificate. Then the Department of Naturalisation and Residency will cancel the visa. Then the Embassy officials will issue a NoC. Only then, will the body be released and allowed to be flown over to India.
