Mysore/Mysuru: The week-long SSLC supplementary exams (2021-22) began this morning at 13 centres across the district, including seven in Mysuru city.
On the first day today, Science, Political Science and Karnatak/ Hindustani Music papers were held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. The exam concludes on July 4.
DDPI Ramachandraraje Urs said that a total of 2,300 repeater students and private candidates in the district are appearing for the supplementary exam.
Pointing out that CCTV cameras have been installed in all the exam centres, he said that the exam is being held as per COVID protocol and under tight police security. The students have been asked to follow COVID guidelines such as wearing of face mask, use of hand sanitisers and physical distancing.
Urs further said that prohibitory orders is in place in 200 mts radius of all the exam centres and all photocopy shops in the vicinity of the exam centres have been asked to shut down on exam dates.
The DDPI visited some of the exam centres. Tomorrow, first language exam will take place.
In the State, a total of 94,649 students are appearing for the SSLC exam being conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) at 423 centres spread across the State.
