Stakeholders Consultation meeting on implementation of emergency action plan for dams

Mysore/Mysuru: A one-day Stakeholders Consultation Meeting on implementation of emergency action plan for Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS), Kabini, Harangi and Chikkahole dams has been organised at Kusuma-Chandrashekar Kalyana Mantapa in Mogarahalli (Manti), KRS-Mysuru Road, Srirangapatna taluk in Mandya district tomorrow (July 8)  at 11 am, under the aegis of Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited (a Government of Karnataka Enterprises), Water Resources Department (WRD).

Water Resources and Belagavi District in-Charge Minister Govind M. Karjol will inaugurate the Meet. Excise and Mandya & Hassan Districts in-Charge Minister K. Gopalaiah will be the guest of honour.

Srirangapatna MLA Ravindra Srikantaiah will preside.

Pramod Narayan, Project Director, Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP), Central Water Commission (CWC), Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, Gulshan Raj, Chief Engineer, CWC and Central Project Management Unit (CPMU), New Delhi, Chabungbam Rajagopal Singh, World Bank, DRIP Task Team Leader and Madhava, Chief Engineer, Nodal Officer, DRIP, State Project Management Unit (SPMU), Bengaluru, will be the resource persons.

Kumaraswamy, CADA Chairman Shivalingaiah, KRS Gram Panchayat President K. Narasimha, Mysuru Regional Commissioner Dr. G.C. Prakash and Bengaluru Regional Commissioner Naveen Raj Singh, Mysuru City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, District in-Charge Secretaries, DCs, SPs, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from Mysuru region (Mysuru, Mandya, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar & Hassan) and Ramanagara and Bengaluru will attend the Consultation Meeting.
