Mysuru’s international athlete Reena George, representing Mysuru in the Senior and Junior State Athletic Championships-2018 which concluded at Moodibidri, won gold in the Women’s 200m event yesterday.
Reena incidentally had won silver in the women’s 100m event on the inaugural day of the Championship. In the boys U-20 section, Guru Prakash won bronze in the High-Jump event and was part of the 4x400m relay squad which won silver medal.
Sagar won gold in the men’s 110m Hurdles event while Manju won the silver in the 20km walking event for men.
In the boys U-20 400m city’s Agnish won the silver medal.
In boys U-16 section, Rahul won silver in 2000m event, while Santhosh won silver medal in 400m event.
In U-16 girls section, Brunda S. Gowda of Mysuru won gold in Shot-put. She threw the put to a distance of 12.42m.
Lukitha Yogesh won silver in the U-16 girls Discus-throw event, while Rahul Kashyap won silver in the U-18 Boys Shot Put event.
