State to get 6  Women Entrepreneurs’ Park

July 28, 2017

Mysuru: The women entrepreneurs are being given a lot of encouragement and six Women Entrepreneurs’ Park will be set up in the State, said Additional Chief Secretary K. Ratna Prabha.

She was speaking after inaugurating the Women Entrepreneurs(WIBE) Institution and Training camp for women at Hotel Pai Vista, here yesterday and said, “These days more importance is given in the State to set up industries. The industrialists are being encouraged. As a result there is a sound atmosphere for the development of industries.”

“Earlier there were problems in the Industrial Policy. There were demands for bringing changes in the Policy. The Policy in the State had put the SC/ST, women and general category under the same umbrella, and all treated on par. As a result, the industrialists/entrepreneurs belonging to Backward Classes, women and weaker section of the society were facing problems. Realising this, the Government has introduced a new policy so that everyone is benefited,” she said and added “This has helped women to participate in industrial development.”

There is a huge demand separately for Women Entrepreneurs’ Park and 50 acres have been identified in Himmavu and Adakanahalli Industrial area. Since the demand is increasing, we are thinking of identifying 100 acres of land, she said.
