K.B. Ayyappa, an employee of Education Department in T. Narasipur, bagged first prize in discus-throw and shot-put in 50-60 years Men’s category during District-level State Government Employees Sports Meet held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city recently.

The District-level Sports Meet for State Government Employees was organised by the District Administration in association with ZP, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) and the district unit of Karnataka State Government Employees Association.

In 50-60 year old Men’s category, K.B. Ayyappa bagged first prize in discus throw (1.5 kg) while N.K. Manjunath and K. Lokesh won second and third prizes respectively. In shot-put (5 kg), K.B. Ayyappa won first, K. Lokesh second and P.S. Harish third prizes.
