State-level debate contest on May 17

The Alumni Association of city’s Sri Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanaka Gurupeetha College of Education, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar, has organised a State-level debate competition for B.Ed and other degree students on the topic ‘The present school curriculum has failed in inculcating moral values among students,’ at the college premises at 9 am on May 17. A maximum of two students (for and against) from each college can take part. The participants can speak either in Kannada or English. The last date for registration is May 14. The first prize carries a cash prize of Rs. 1,000, second prize- Rs. 750 and third prize- Rs. 500. There is also a consolation prize.
